Film Making Challenges
General Tips on Film making
Short Review of his Interview
Director's Experience & Tips
Practicing is your Master, Professionalism is a Plus
Point, Timing Should be Cool, Respect Your Team,
It is
really not necessary for you to be a Professional
and Expert in film-making at the very first step.
If you
are a Professional
filmmaker or have some great expertise in any field of Arts
and Cinema, that is a plus point.
The initial need for you to make your first film is the core of your decision. Significantly, your decision and taking your first step towards film-making
is truly and seriously a vital act that can turn you into a filmmaker. You have
to keep in mind that there are some essential
and basic requirements in the process of film-making.

Here we
share some valuable tips from Habibullah the Director of GUTSY. These are his
personal and experimental ideas, which got him clear results
- Completely focus on your
work, bring all your imaginations on the paper/script
- Timing
is the key to your success, necessarily you face many problems daily
- Always
have alternative plans
- The
time, finances, equipment shortages, damages, deficits and many more
unpredicted issues will try to stop you and kill your plan, never step
back
- Be
kind and friendly to all the crew, actors, and entire your team
- Respect
your actors whether the Lead actors or background actors
- Use your management and
leadership intelligence
During
our discussion, the Director pointed out few serious challenges while making this
film. These obstacles were the shortage of electricity and some technical problems. As he explains that there
were only 3 to 4 hours electricity and even the time was not exact. Nobody knew
when the electricity was on and when it was off.
Habib
added further challenges like technical support was very limited. He emphasized
that whatever it takes we must concentrate on our work and bring a better
result out of it.
We
conclude this interview by reviewing and sharing some values for the readers.

filmingFilm Making Challenges
It was
the decision of a Director to take an ugly fact based story and produce it to a
film.
The
process of this story into the script and story board took two weeks. After all, I completed the shooting in eleven (11) days. For a
film of 45 minutes this time is too short, but your passion and love for your
work along with your focus makes it possible.
Please do
not forget that your practice makes you master.
Very
limited budget, shortages of electricity, technical problems all negative eyes
and ears open in a country like Afghanistan, definitely smash you and take you
down. No matter how negative the environment be, you always have your strength that is sticking to your plan and walking toward your goal is the core to
your strength and success.
